YOURSAY ‘MCA, MIC or Gerakan members with a dram of dignity would leave BN.’

BN allies too comatose to react to Umno taunts

‘Let BN partners die, Umno can take NS alone’

yrsayBnallies Hang Babeuf: “Let BN partners die, Umno can do without them!” said Negri Sembilan Menteri Besar Mohamad Hasan.

This is just the explicit declaration of what has been Umno’s strategy since GE12 in 2008. That is when the “old partner parties” (MCA, MIC and Gerakan) have withered.

(Even from before GE12, Umno Youth launched their keris-brandishing extravaganzas, sending the clear message that this is a ‘Malay land’ and everybody had better accept that definition, or else!)

Their collapse is not primarily because they lack non-Malay voters. It is because Umno.

In its post-GE12 ‘Ketuanan Melayu’ shift to shore up its Malay base, Umno has left its partner parties and their leaders humiliated, without face, without any basis upon which to act with dignity and plausibility.

The result: BN, peninsular BN at least, is now a coalition with only one substantial member, Umno. It is like an elite Malay social club, one that still has on its staff a few leftover old Chinese caretakers and Indian janitors looking after the premises for them.

R Venugopal: Mohamad Hasan has said it loud and clear, and the component parties of BN in Negeri Sembilan should dismantle their organisations.

But as usual, the component parties are more interested in positions and opportunities for themselves. The voters shall show them the exit in the next elections.

Anonymous 759201436321741: Gerakan, MCA and MIC, ponder deeply about this. You are not responsible for what Umno think of you. But you are if you give them reasons to do so.

Mohamad Hasan just told you that. Don’t you all have no dignity to get lost and at least hold your head high in the process?

Rick Teo: People who don’t learn from history are bound to repeat the mistake.

Former Malacca CM Mohd Ali Rustam said exactly the same words during the People’s Progressive Party (PPP) AGM in 2007.

Look where is he now? So Mohamad Hassan, next election its bye-bye to you too.

Speechless: I agree. MCA, MIC, PPP and Gerakan are a waste of space. They don’t have the guts to speak up on issues that plague the rakyat.

Despite being ridiculed countless times by Umno, they have shamelessly kowtowed to their political master. They deserve to be spat on by Mohamad Hassan.

Hplooi: This is precisely the thinking of Umno diehards. The game plan has always been (since 1969) to totally disenfranchised those citizens not defined as constitutional Malays.

This is the same method the Zionists use to clear Palestine of its non-Jewish citizens.

Perakian: The Negeri Sembilan MB is a man who speaks straight, unlike other hypocrites in BN. He is speaking the truth. After all, Umno and many other BN components party are race-based.

There is nothing wrong with what he said; voters have the rights to choose whether they want to support race-based parties.

MinahBulat: Indeed, why blame him? I applaud him for being truthful.

The BN component parties are being treated worse than a mangy dog. The truth hurts and they will still go to the Umno table to beg for food.

Any MCA, MIC or Gerakan members with a dram of dignity would leave BN and have nothing to do with Umno. Syabas Negri Sembilan MB, for speaking out the truth.

Doc: Mohamad Hassan, for your information BN component parties are on death row. The will be executed in the next GE.

Umno has no choice but to go against Pakatan Baru in the next GE and Umno will certainly need to rely significantly on underhanded tricks to win the next GE.

Ferdtan: Is Mohamad Hassan suggesting the pro-Malay unity government be formed together with PAS?

That will be surely be the way for other BN component parties like MCA, MIC and East Malaysian parties to leave BN?

Speak up Mohamad Hassan, don’t talk in riddle. Lately Malaysians had been too confused with the 1MBD saga to try to crack your brain-teaser.

Ah Hoe: This man has been so frightened out of his wits after being allegedly accused of calling for PM Najib Razak’s arrest in a‘leaked’ audio tape (which he quickly denied) that he’s now overcompensating his Umno-ness to appease and brown nose Najib. He has indeed hit the panic button.

God Helps Malaysia: He is just being honest and he is right in a way.

The component political parties in Semenanjung are no longer relevant. But not those in Sabah and Sarawak. Bring the same message to Sabah and Sarawak if you have the guts.
