Not respecting constitution? Hadi should look in the mirror

Hadi urges ROS to probe if other parties respect constitution

your say1yrsayhadilookinthemirorExistential Turd: The constitution is unequivocal about the secular nature of our country. PAS, in collusion with Umno, are attempting to ‘bastardise’ our constitution.

If PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang wants to know who is the one that disrespect the constitution, he needs only to look into a mirror.

Anonymous 2465861491622056: The Registrar of Societies (ROS) should also investigate PAS on whether its constitution respects minorities and their religious beliefs, which are enshrined in the Federal Constitution.

Furthermore, by saying only a Muslim Malay can be PM, it has gone against the Federal Constitution, which treats all citizens equally. Indeed, Sabah and Sarawak bumiputera have been shortchanged.

Vijay47: Ah, Hadi Awang! What would the nation do without you? You are one not only with numerous skills and talents but a specially chosen being with attributes close to the divine.

You can be numbered among those experts in the latest field in town, comparative religion, but also a leader with that gift of solving national problems and scandals by simply ignoring them, of course while you take a respite from being advisor to His Majesty.

Since others may not share the wisdom you have, perhaps you could explain what Malaysians must do to display their respect of our constitutional monarchy, the place of Bahasa Malaysia, and Malay special rights.

Speak Malay at home and ask for that pride of the community, the New Economic Policy, to be continued another thousand years?

But alas, you still have to return to Constitutional Studies 101. I must remind you and the baying crowd, to your immense discomfort, I am sure, that Islam is not the ‘official’ religion of the country. We do not have one.

Fairplayer: We respect the constitution, but do you, Hadi Awang?

RR: I can’t understand why Hadi and others in his party are constantly creating trouble in the country by using religion as a weapon.

No non-Muslim political parties, including DAP, are so stupid not to respect Islam as a religion of the state. In fact, all Malaysians respect one other’s religion.

We may comment on the extent of a religion being forced on people. That is the people’s legal rights.

PAS should stop creating hatred using religion. PAS has no right of monopoly on Islam. Umno, Amanah, Bersatu and PKR have legitimate rights on Islam as they see it.

So please don’t create trouble using religion and race just to seek votes and destroy this peaceful plural nation of ours.

Clever Voter: The nation will be further torn apart should Abdul Hadi and his holy men succeed in getting into power.

PAS leadership has only one objective – to have in place a dictatorial Islamic state. Their approach is very simple.

Use petroleum revenue to feed the people, converge way of life into one where segregation of duties are well-defined. Women have to fulfil duties of breeding and feeding.

The nation will retreat to what we see in regressive states where illiteracy goes up, and growth goes down. Corruption takes a different route.

Ultimately, what we have last 50 years will disappear as PAS will destroy any so-called unIslamic practices.

While some of these may be an exaggeration, PAS forgets easily that the nation was built with blood and sweat of everyone of all religious faiths and beliefs.

It’s about time the nation takes this seriously as BN is incapable of stopping the tide.

Hardboiled: Article 153 of the constitution states that the “Yang Di Pertuan Agong must safeguard the special position of the Malays and the natives of Sabah and Sarawak.”

My question is this: What are the limits or extent in which the special position is to be implemented? ‘Special’ is vague to say the least.

Are the bumis so weak they constantly hide, and abuse, and are abused, by this? It seems that this position has crept into almost every field imaginable.

What more does Hadi want? Does he want non-Muslims and non-Malays to serve Malays/Muslims as masters in his household of Islamic Malaysia?

Is that how highly he thinks of the special position and how he thinks the founders wanted it to be?

Hang Babeuf: This legally ignorant old Lebai should be careful what he asks for. It is clear that he does not understand the Federal Constitution and the historical meaning of Article 3.

If there is anybody and any party that does not conform with the Federal Constitution, it is PAS and its clerical oligarchs.

Of course, Umno is doing a great job these days catching up [or down?] with it. Thanks especially to the work of people like Asraf Wajdi Dusuki and the ideologues in the Institut Kajian Strategik Islam Malaysia (Iksim) “think-tank” at Department of Islamic Development (Jakim) – which is situated, of course, in the PM’s Office

Determined Sarawakian: PAS, a party from the past, Wants RUU 35 to get pass, Now, Hadi wants a constitutional pass, For other parties to pass. But who is PAS to fuss, When they are living in the past.
