YOURSAY | ‘Apandi, who said he feared only Allah, should now prove his words.’

No need to involve Allah, just declassify 1MDB report

Mahathir-Apandi spat takes religious turn

your say1yrsaynoneedallahCQ Muar: The way attorney-general Mohamed Apandi Ali goes on defending someone who has been accused to be involved in a scandal investigated by no less than five countries made him an accomplice to such alleged crimes, and therefore are equally guilty as the main perpetrator.

Malaysian Official 1’s (MO1) involvement could be punishable under money-laundering. A crime is a crime no matter to what degree.

In this respect, Apandi would never dare swear before Allah.

Odin Tajué: It has become plain from how Apandi’s came to rule against the Herald–Roman Catholic Church in the Allah case that he is not a trustworthy man.

As I have said in my comment that was highlighted by Malaysiakini, it usually takes one aspiring to be only a parish four years of full-time study at a theological college and pass his exams before he can be one.

Apandi would have one believe that he had become an expert on Christianity no less after conducting a quick research on the Internet. And how quick was his ‘quick’? – allegedly less than 30 minutes.

Bear in mind also that he is an Umno man. No, he will definitely not swear on the Quran in a mosque, surau or whatever.

Mushiro: Apandi, who said that he is not afraid of any man and he feared only Allah, should now prove his words.

The AG’s Chambers has been ridiculed and put in odium because of Apandi. The least Apandi should do is to sue Mahathir in court which is Apandi’s playground.

If Apandi does not take up former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s challenge on the Quran or sue Mahathir in court, then it tells a lot of Apandi’s real fears.

Boeyks: Why involve your God in your personal quarrels about how well you had carried out your duties?

Just declassify the Auditor-General’s Report on 1MDB to show that there’s nothing to hide. It’s as simple as that.

If you don’t want to show the report, don’t want to swear in the mosque, then it simply shows that you fear Mahathir.

Anonymous #40538199: Indeed, there is no point getting the holy text or God involved. We don’t have to wait for after-life vindication.

This is just a man-made scandal. Declassify the auditor-general’s report and disclosing the accounts and transaction details involved will do.

Anonymous 2342611447832424: There is no need to keep asking for the declassification of the task force’s and the auditor-general’s reports or publishing the money trails of the so-called RM2.6 billion Arab ‘donation’ because that is not going to happen while Malaysian Official 1 (MO1) is still in power.

And please do not question whether these people are true Muslims or pretenders because that is not our business to ask.

You must understand that to a Muslim, no matter if he/she is a true believer or not, swearing on the Quran, or what they called ‘sumpah laknat’, is a very serious matter.

A confirmed liar who dares to take up the ‘sumpah’ will be consumed and haunted by the psychological effects of it for the rest of his life, which will almost (sometimes surely) lead him to a state of mental breakdown. And yet even more severe punishment awaits him in the afterlife.

Worldly Wise: Apandi should not talk like that. What he means is that he cannot justify his actions otherwise.

If RM2.6 billion goes into the PM’s personal account and he keeps quiet about it for five years until a foreign investigative journalist discovers it, how can the AG say there is no case to prosecute?

Dingy: The rakyat must vote for change so that the truth of whether Najib is innocent or guilty could be determined.

Once BN is ousted, the Official Secrets Act (OSA) on the auditor-general’s report could be lifted. If it is true that Najib is guilty, then the new regime could file charges against Apandi for allegedly lying.

As AG holding such an important post and if found guilty, hopefully the punishment is severe enough to deter future AGs from lying to protect the prime minister.

Vision2020: A pious and righteous man does not use God to defend his integrity: only a dishonest man need to use God to plead his or her innocence.

Mosquitobrain: Apandi, take the penalty shot or quit. What say you?

Show RM2.6b money trail if nothing to hide, Gobind dares AG

Anonymous 2456321485312809: The AG says that he has access to all the available facts. Surely among the available facts would be clear documentary proof of the donation, since he so readily and handily cleared the PM.

So, the easiest thing to do here would be to produce those documents and put Puchong MP Gobind Singh Deo back in his place.

Dear AG, the door is wide open for you to silence all the detractors once and for all and prove to the world that you are right all along about the US Department of Justice (DOJ) and their alleged political agenda.

That would be an unimaginably fantastic coup for you and your master. Why are we still waiting?

Anonymous 2443871479002035: As somebody said the other day, just show us the bank statements if it was true that it was a donation from Saudi Arabia. Also, the bank statements which will show the money was returned to the Saudis.

These will clear up everything. End of story. No?
